On Friday night, May 23, 2014 Nissa Graves won her battle with cancer as she went on to heaven to be with her LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. She now is singing in heaven and has no more cancer, pain or struggle. She was a excellent wife, mom and friend to so many. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. David will continue to run and finish the 1/2 Marathon in her honor in September. All donations are welcome and help with the many medical, funeral and other expenses the family has during this time of transition. God bless everyone for the many donations already given of love, support and encouragement.

Nissa's Story:
Nissa was diagnosed with thyroid cancer early 2013. She underwent 3 surgeries the same year. She spent 4 months in Tulsa, Oklahoma last year at the Cancer Treatment Center of America. She came home twice this year, however, in April tumors were spotted on her lungs so she will most likely go back and forth the rest of this year. In the meantime, her family has incurred many medical expenses and other family household expenses that they could not pay due to her not having an income. Donations of any amount are greatly appreicated to help Nissa in her fight against cancer by helping to pay the numerous medical bills as well as the family expenses during this difficult time.

1st Half Marathon:
Nissa's son, Colin and her husband, David ran in the Rock n Roll Half Marathon in their first campaign "Running for Nisssa" asking people to sponsor them in the run to help raise money for Nissa. They raised over $5000.
This 2nd Upcoming Half Marathon:
This new campaign "Running for Nissa 2" is in an effort to continue raising money for the family. You can help by making a donation to sponsor her husband as he runs in the Plano Balloon Festival Half Marathon on September 21, 2014.. Colin as of the date of this printing has not yet decided if he will run this next one or not. The first one really wore him out! :)
