Cancer treatment at Burzynski clinic

Hello, My name is April Ryen. I am 32 years old and married to the man of my dreams. My husband Kevin is 42 years old and has fought cancer more specifically brain cancer for 14 years. Since we met 7 years ago he has had 2 brain surgerys to resect brain tumors. In total, in 14 years Kevin has had 3 craniotomies. In September of 2013 they diagnosised my husband Kevin with a stage 4 glioblastoma which was considered inoperatable.At that time they told us the average life span of this disease is 12-14 months. Since then he has been treated at Cancer treatment centers of America with oral chemo and IV chemotherapy
Cancer has taken so much from us...we will never have children, and never own a home. The cost of cancer has devasted us finacially. My husband has had numerous bouts with chemo and avastin both drugs killed the chance of having children. Through it all though we have taken it in stride and have had a normal happy marriage. We have had many holidays, birthdays, family gatherings and normal memories as most couples have, but our normal is diffrent than others.We have to constantly think about our actions and how it may affect Kevins health. Cancer is always in our minds and our normal surrounds medications, treatments, and what foods he can and can't have depending on the treatment he's taking. Every morning Kevin consumes 12-14 pills both seizure chemo, and vitamins. We isolate our selves now from functions due to a weaken immune system. It is very hard for us to ask for help but after last weeks news we realize we desperately need other people to lift us up at this time.
Last week the doctors told my husband at Cancer treatment centers of America that the medicine is not working and there is nothing left to do at the center. They gave us three options do nothing, which to do nothing is a death sentence, continue medicine that is not working, or go on clinical trials. I don't know if anyone has ever researched clinical trials but it is pages and pages of clinical medical information that is overwhelming and time consuming. A lot of clinical trials are based on availablity and often times are thousands of miles from your home. After researching these clincal trials I learned that my husband does not qualify for lot of studies since he has had so much treatment. The studies Kevin does qualify for are ginny pig trials which you may be getting medicine or placebo drugs. Another brick wall with clinical trials is that there our limited seats available and some of the studies that he does qualify for the seats for the trial are already taken by people just as desperate as we are.
Our last hope is this Burzynski clinic which offers a patent cancer drug that is showing tremendous results at slowing or killing the tumor and cancerous cells. I hope and pray people will hear my plea and I pray that God provides a way through many generous people to help me with getting my husband to this clinic. My husband and I thank all who are generous enough to give. I hope and pray even if you feel you can't make a diffence that you can donate at least a dollar to our cause. For just a simple dollar is one more dollar one more piece of hope that my husband and I are clinging to. Every donation makes a tremendous diffrence. We do have health insurance but this clinic does not accept insurance and is the only clinic in the country using these types of cancer drugs.
