<div>Many hours are spent each day feeding, washing bowls, providing worm medicine and laundering the cats' beds.  So that Metro Cat Rescue can do more, we need your help!  We've run out of space to take in any additional cats. And there's the time -- with the kittens and moms that we have here now, the day starts at 6am and ends at 11pm.

<div>Metro Cat Rescue needs a bigger and better space. We also need the funds to hire someone -- at least -- part time to help with the chores. Hours are spent cleaning bowls and dishes. Having an automatic dishwasher would make a world of difference. A lot less time would go towards drudgery that then could be used caring for the cats.

<div>Metro Cat Rescue has no cushion of dedicated funds for medical care. As it stands now, for each and every vet visit -- standard checkups and neutering, too, not just emergencies -- has to be paid for by pleading for help on Facebook. This sometimes means that a sick cat suffers for days waiting for medical attention.

<div>The dream of Metro Cat Rescue is to establish a facility to provide care for homeless kittens and cats with easily treated but contagious conditions -- those innocents that now elsewhere regularly are made to die. Sadly, a lack of funds has kept Metro Cat Rescue's goal on a distant horizon.

<div>Without the necessary resources, each day there are poor moms and babies that we can't help. Indeed, last summer, there was a dip in donations and adoptions. I would not let the cats go hungry, so I scraped by eating little more than bread, rice and beans myself.
