I am Curityah Hicks and I am a 14 year old freshman at The SEED School Of Maryland in Balitomore. Currently, I am involved in modeling, cheerleading and the student mentoring program.
I was nominated to travel with People to People as a student ambassador to explore the continent of Europe and the heritage within it for 3 weeks starting on June 22, 2015 . During my time as a student Ambassador I will be travling with other student Ambassadors to England, France, Germany, Belguim, The Netherlands, Austria and Switzerland. Having an opportunity to travel to these countries will help me gain knowledge about different cultures, especially the customs that have evolved from these cultures. This experience will also allow me to meet new friends, conquer new challenges, and see the world through a multicultural lense.
More importantly the student ambassadorial program will make me more aware as a person and more knowledgeable about cultures I don't necessarliy interact with on a regular basis . With that extra knowledge I will apply it to my future goals in life and even my daily communication with others. While I am on this trip I will be more than a tourist. I will also make a difference by sharing my experiences to other cultures. Although I will see iconic sights, the real goal is to learn about the European Heritage within the world.
In order to participate I will need your financial support . I will need at least $7000.00 dollars. Any contribution or donations will be greatly appreciated.
