Save RUFIO! My dog has cancer. :(

Rufio was three years old when I rescued him from an animal santuary back in February of 2011. He is my everything, and I am his. Rufio was a totally normal American Bulldog. Sweet, playful, strong, and incredible. The heart of a warrior. This morning at 6am all of that changed. He couldn't get comfortable and kept crying out in severe agony. I rushed him to the emergency vet. They have said that he has malignant cancer. :'(   In order to keep him alive and save him, he needs a leg amputation, spleen removal, and to have a massive tumor removed from him neck. The thought of losing him is the scariest thing I've ever experienced and I am reaching out however I can.  I am so grateful for websites like this. To think that you can literally reach across the world and find people who understand what you're going through and want to help is heart-warming. He's not just a dog with cancer. He's #awkwardrufio (look him up on Instagram). He's my best friend. He's an old soul in an American Bulldog's body and he deserves to be fought for. I love him so much. He's always been so good to me and the irony in this is that, when I adopted him, I thought I was saving him. Turns out, he saved me and now I wish to repay him for that, but I need help. This surgery will cost me into the thousands. Please know that anything you give will make things seem just a little more possible. I don't want him to think I didn't try. Thank you so much guys.
