Nadine Baker CCSVI Treatment

My recent MS history and explaining why I'm going to the US for a simple ballooning of my blocked jugulars:.... I was diagnosed in 1998 with relapsing/remitting MS.  In 2009 Dr. Paolo Zamboni shared that after finding & treating blockages for his wife who has MS she immediately experienced relief from many of her MS symptoms.  Employing ultrasound technology, Zamboni saw a condition in the extra-cerebral veins with similar markers to venous insufficiency in legs, a condition routinely treated. Left untreated, venous insufficiency in the legs can lead to serious debilitation and medical complications. Zamboni found CCSVI treated by angioplasty reduced, and even eliminated, symptoms experienced by people with MS.  I was treated for Chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency (CCSVI) of both jugulars & my azygos vein in Merida, Mexico in 2010 which halted my now progressing MS & provided me with many months of freedom from pain, fatigue, cogfog, weakness, vertigo, foot drop & my eyesight improved enough that I needed weaker lenses!  My MS is once again progressing & my left side is now involved. My pain is not responding to any of the approved MS drugs & spasms keep me awake most nights.

I hope to travel to the leaders in CCSVI in California. The Synergy Health group have excelled and become the go-to guys. They have performed over 2,000 procedures with a clinical success rate in excess of 90% with patients reporting symptom relief during & after the procedure. This relief is proving durable in excess of 2 years in over 75% of their patients!! I have talked to them at length & Dr. Arata is pretty sure That besides the CCSVI I am also suffering from Dysautonomia, a dysfunction of the ANS (autonomic nervous system), which is the system that operates mostly below conscious awareness and regulates the functioning of the body's internal organs. For instance, the ANS affects heart rate, digestion, respiratory rate, salivation, perspiration, pupillary dilation, micturition (urination), and sexual arousal. There is no scientifically proven treatment for dysautonomia.

TVAM (Transvascular Autonomic Modulation) is a promising new treatment for patients with autonomic dysfunction, or dysautonomia. The procedure involves modulation of the nerve fibers surrounding the jugular vein. These nerves are the conduit for communication between the body and the ANS, and by stimulating them we are able to improve autonomic function in many patients. An ongoing scientific study conducted at Synergy Health with a growing pool of patients with autonomic dysfunction (over 600), has shown definitive results in favor of TVAM.  

The cost for tests, MRI, Drs consults, treatment, aftercare tests & consults, flights & hotel run about $15,000 US. By comparison, this procedure in SK costs between $1500-$3000, but Canada is refusing to test or treat until studies prove it is or isn't related to MS. Unfortunately the study SK had joined in Albany was recently shut down & we are years from approving simple angioplasty for people with MS! I don't like asking for help but I'm afraid to add more debt in case I have to leave work soon :(

It's my hope to stay an active Gramma for as long as possible - well at least until they don't need me to pick them up to cuddle anymore - hopefully that never happens!  :)
