Hello everyone, and thank you for checking out my fundraiser. I have to start off by saying that I feel very uncomfortable doing this...but the truth of the matter is, time is NOT on my side!
As most of you know, I was laid off last August and have yet to find employment. My unemployment ran out 2 weeks ago and while I'm in the process of applying for cash assistance, food stamps and Medical...everything takes time. They don't make it easy I'll say that much for sure. So at the moment I have no income at all.
My latest challenge came this past Sunday when my car was repossessed. It has not gone to the auction yet, but it will in 10 days. With each day that passes of course I'll have an additional storage fee that is added to the bill, but with a miracle, I can still get my baby back!
My condo is a few days away from going into foreclosure due to my mortgage as well as my home equity loan being so late. All my other bills are all WAY past due, and each of my credit cards has landed in collection. I won't even mention the medical bills I now have, because I couldn't afford the $800.00 a month for Cobra!!!
I have been trying my best to remain positive. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and at some point, (hopefully soon!) I will look back at this past 7 months and understand why I went from having excellent credit, a good job, a great car and could live my life somewhat "comfortably" to being on the brink of homelessness with no car and the likely hood of having to file bankruptcy.
So I had the thought today of putting together a little fundraiser for myself. Anyone who really knows me, knows I HATE asking for help...but I really need it... so I have to suck it up and put my faith in my friends!
PLEASE don't feel obligated to donate. I would NEVER take it personally because I, out of all people, understand how tough times are! I couldn't even donate a dollar If my life depended on it! I will say that if you could, regardless of the amount, it would mean the world to me. I don't even have the words to express how much it would, to be honest with you!!!!

Hello my friends,
After doing a lot of soul searching and many hours of research, I officially reached the turning point at my fork in the road. I have decided the best thing for me to do is to part ways with my baby and hire an attorney and file Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
While there are a lot of positive things that will come out of this, there are a few "negative" things as well. I say negative only in the short term, the time sensitive manner, because the lawyer fees and court cost basically equals what I would need to get my car back. When I file, if they didn't take the car already, they would at that point because while I am allowed to have one car, it can NOT have a value of over $3000. So now I must start the search for a cheap "Old Skool Tina" boat that will get me from point A to B.
Even if I could keep my car, I need to except the fact, that while I love my car, taking on a $333.00 per month car payment again on top of what it would cost me to get the car back, would be completely irresponsible of me. It would be the first step of heading right back to where I am now...rock bottom. I feel, because of the kyndness of those I love, I am given a one shot deal at second chance.
So with that being said, if anyone knows of a " Dimond in the rough" type of car (And those who have known me from "day 1" know what kind of car/boat I speak of LOL) please keep me in mind.
This will also mean (based on my research today) that because of the last assessment of my condo, plus my home equity loan I have out, I will definitely lose my condo. While I don't know this 1000% the maximum your real estate can be assessed at, for either the Federal Law or the State law, is $75,000.00. So regardless of whatlaw I apply to my situation, and how many different times I read it, the bottom line was all the same. The time for me to move will most likely be sooner then later, since I get the impression that once everything has been filed, this process doesn't take long.
So if you have an "extra" dollar laying around even, I would be for ever grateful! I am so touched by each donation I've received so far. I NEVER would have believe it if someone told me I would even have $100.00 by Sunday, never mind close to $1000.00!!!!

I am happy to report because of ALL of you who have donated so far, I am the happy new owner of a "new" car!!! I've been able to get insurance on it, now I just need to register it. It's a great little car to get me around town and NO CAR PAYMENTS!!!! LOL!!!!!
Again, I want to thank every one who has so generously shared your hard earned money with me. I know times are tough for all of us, and each and every single cent is appreciated and will never ever be forgotten!!!
While I've won a major battle, I still have a big war on my hands in order to keep my condo and all that jazz.
Please know, that no amount is too small. You may think that $5.00 isn't much, but I can promise you, it goes a long way when you are in the place I am.
Some of you have inquired about mailing a check verses using the online system, and that is absolutely fine. Just send me a message, and I'll give you my address.
