Chelation Pump for Grace

Hello Everyone,
My Name is Terri-Lynn Hart.  I am Graces mom.  My daughter has a condition called Diamond Blackfan Anemia, this leaves her body unable to produce red blood cells.  Grace has had 136 blood transfusions since she is born and continues to recieve them every 21 days.  Because Grace has had so many transfusions since birth she has iron overload and has to do whats called chelation therapy. Iron overload can do really harmful things to the organs especially the liver.  As well cause death when the iron takes over.  She has been doing chelation therapy orally for the past 6 years.  Because it was hurting her stomach so much and starting to effect the kidneys she had to come off this medication.  The only other option is a chelation pump where a medicine is infused 12 hours a day subcutaneously.  So yes a needle everyday. Grace is very brave about this and continues to be happy about who she is regardless of what she has to go through.  We do an annual blood drive every christmas as our way to give back to all the heros who donate blood to save lives such as Graces.  As well she was Champion Child for the Janeway last year.  You can watch her story on youtube, i have included the link for this. The problem is the government will not pay for this pump and they are very expensive.  This is how I found out about gofundme.  We are so blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives that love us and truly care about us and I thank God for that.  I ask that you all come together to help me get this life saving pump for my daughter.  Thank you all so much in advance for your generousity.  God Bless you.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LvLpwRcJFMg
