Replace Stolen Tools for Kelly

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Sherianne Grimm.  For the last two years Kelly Belcher has worked on various projects at my home.  During this time I got to know he and his family pretty well.  I found Kelly to be a conscientious, hardworking and dedicated contractor and family man. The work he did for us was well researched, planned and executed.

I also observed him to be a caring member of the community he lives in. He  and his wife regularly volunteer at the Vallejo Moose Lodge.

During the time he worked for us, he did several projects for people who needed help due to age and health issues at no charge.  Additionally, last Fall my husband and I hired someone to clean out our gutters. The guy came, went up on the roof, charged us and left. Subsequently, during the next rain storm, we found that although he had gone up on the roof, he had not cleared the gutters.  Kelly brought his ladder over, went up on the roof and cleared all the gutters at no charge to us because he did not want my husband to go up on the roof to do it himself.

In mid-March 2016 Kelly's van was broken into and stolen. The van was recovered, but was significantly damaged. The van was filled with all types of tools.  Kelly estimates his loss around $3,000 or more.  There is no insurance coverage.  The auto insurance is limited to $200.00  for anything in the automobile.  There is no homeowners insurance because they rent their home.   The thieves didn't just steal his car they stole his livelihood and ability to make a living.

I heard about the incident because Kelly was scheduled to come to our home and had to cancel when this happened.  It made be mad and then sad.  It made me think about how we would help.

I contacted Gary  at the Moose Lodge to inquire if he would help me with a fundraiser, he readily agreed. I have never done one of these online fundraiser's myself, I have only contributed to them.   I thought this was a worthy cause and if everyone gave what they could, we could easily help Kelly replace his tools.

Kelly and his wife are good people who contribute to their neighborhood and community.  They have done a lot to help others and now it is time to help them.  The money you donate will be used to assist Kelly in replacing his tools  and equipment so that he can continue to make a living.

There are so many negative things in the world and the only way to not feel overwhelmed is to do your little part, in your little part of the world.  Be kind and generous to someone else.  Treat people the way you hope they would help and treat you, if you were a victim of crime that threatened the well-being of your family. Pay it forward.  That is all I am trying to do - help somone that deserves it.

I am grateful that you took the time to read this and I will appreciate any amount you feel you can contribute to help Kelly and his family.  If you have friends or know of other people that would help Kelly, please pass this information on! Thank you!
