Nija's Spelman Japanese Excursion

Growing up in a diverse city like Seattle Washington, I have cultivated a love for Japanese culture and society.  I admire the technological advancements of Japan as their cars have always fascinated me. Their diligence is not only seen in their cars but in every aspect of their culture. Spelman's trip will help me understand Japan's business society as well, in comparison to communicating with other people from various backgrounds.  I can only imagine what it would be like to have the opportunity to walk the colorfully lit city of Tokyo, and bask in the beautiful artistry of a bathhouse.  I would love to immerse myself in Japanese education at Josai International University.   From there I can become enlightened by the ancient design of Kamogawa and study the detail and history of Japan. I want to taste the tart taste of a culture unknown to me. Japan has so much to offer a westerner such as myself and for so long it has remained a clouded mystery. Although Japan has greatly influenced American life, in order to really understand the authenticity of this culture you must first be immersed in it. Beneath the surface of this Spelman excursion is a small girl from Seattle hoping to connect to a culture so unique that all she craves is to be lost in the ambiance of its nature and the beauty of its creation.  I would love it if you could help me out and anything helps!
