Grace has been invited to a wonderful opportunity, to attend the Cecchetti Ballet Intensive Summer Course in Richmond, Virginia this summer. At 9 years of age, she will be one of the two youngest ballerinas representing CF Dance Academy.
Grace started taking hip hop dance lessons at 3 and is a pioneering member of CF Dance Academy's Bring The Noise "MINIS" turned K-mot10n. She has performed and competed with this award-winning team since 2009 (Crowd Favorite & Best Theme at World of Dance, Pomona CA 2010; 3rd Place & Best Costume at World of Dance, LA 2011; 1st Place - Urban Street Jam 2012; KARS National Champions 2013). She began ballet at 4, training under the Cecchetti standards and recently passed her Grade 3 exams with Honors. She has also performed in four seasons of the studio's Nutcracker production. In September 2013, she joined CF Dance Academy's Fullerton Youth Ballet Junior Company which won 3rd place in the ensemble category, with their Lion King piece at YAGP Los Angeles 2013.
This year, Grace stepped out of her comfort zone and competed as a soloist at YAGP Los Angeles, under the direction of Jana Taylor and Jennifer Forcucci-Marzluf, with her classical piece above (Doll Variation from Coppelia) and a contemporary piece, Keep Breathing.
We have always reminded Grace that her wonderful gift of music and dance is something that she needs to nurture and share, so as to bring joy to others.
