Assalaamu alaikum warahmatullaahi wabaarakatahu,
This page has been created on behalf of Umm Aminah who is a sister upon the Qur'aan and Sunnah and follows the way of the Salaf who has fallen on hard times. She is an unemplyed, disabled and single mother of two little children. She hasn't been able to pay her utility bills for quite some time, and is about to have her utilities shut off. Her lease states if she is unable to pay utilities, then her apartment will consequently be taken away making her and her children homeless. SubhanAllaah wabihamdihi! Please aid your sister in Islaam who is diligent in enjoining good and forbidding evil, and calls to the Haqq! By Allaah, I have seen nothing but good from her, and following of the Sunnah.
Please remember no amount is too small as narrated in Saheeh Al-Bukharee Book 24, Hadeeth 494, that RasoolUllaah salAllaahu alayhi wa sallam said: "Protect yourselves from the Fire, even if it is with half of a date."
Also, narrated in Saheeh Muslim Book 12, Hadeeth 73, he salAllaahu alayhi wa sallam said: "There is no day on which the people get up but two angels come down and one of them says 'O Allaah give compensation to the one who spends (in charity)' and the other angel says 'O Allaah destroy the one who withholds!'"
Allaah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in the Qur'aan: "Indeed, the men and women who practice charity and [who] have loaned Allaah a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward." (Surah Al-Hadid 57:18)
Even if you cannot donate, please do not forget to make du'aa for this sister. "Invoke Allaah or invoke the Most Merciful, by whatever Name of His you call upon Him or you invoke Him by, it is the same as to Him belong the most beautiful Names." (Surah Al-Isra 17:110)
"Verily, Allah is the All-Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong." (Surah Ad-Dhariyaat 51:58)
