Breast Cancer/Financial assist

Here I am again in a place that I've never imagined I would be. After my mastectomy, they placed an expander under my muscle to stretch the skin and muscle for breast reconstruction. I had a lot of difficulties, what should have taken 8 weeks ended up taking 13 weeks. Plus I had to wait 3 weeks in between because my body couldn’t handle the amount of saline they were injecting. I had to go down to 30 CC's after two fills of 50cc’s.
With all of the doctor’s appointments to follow, trying to heal and get around without a car has been a challenge to say the least.

The good news is I found a job close enough to home and can ride the bus to get there. (My engine went out on my car the day that I was diagnosed with cancer) so the bus is my primary means of transportation for now. After sitting around this house for three and a half months I was so excited to start my new job! I was scheduled to start on June 23rd but once I mentioned that I had two more doctor’s appointments and that I would miss two days they pushed my start date back to July 8th. I was not allowed to miss any time during the two weeks of training. I made it through that but then I had surgery to remove the expander and insert the implant on July 25th and had to take another week off without pay. I still have one more surgery in 3 months.

Needless to say I'm not going to make my rent. My sister was kind enough to pay my rent last month… thank God because I would have been out on out on the street. I am in a desperate situation and have had to ask for help. I must pay my rent by the third of this month. The property management company has no compassion and as a matter of fact if I am unable to pay my rent by the grace period of the 5th of August, they will tack on another two hundred and eighty dollars in late fees.
It is so hard for me to ask for help. Realistically I should be able to take care of myself and this is embarrassing for me. I have to swallow my pride and embarrassment and do what I must do. I fully intend to pay this forward once I am back on my feet.

I know times are tough for everyone. I realize I'm not the only person out there with issues. Everyone seems to have their own set of unique problems and challenges. I do understand that! That is why I am committed to paying it forward once I get back on my feet. I want to get involved and help others to navigate their options and find the support they need during times of crisis. I believe that all of this will serve as a foundation for me to help others in the future.

Thank you so much for your love and support. I am deeply grateful. If you cannot afford to give financially, your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated too!
