Wood Family Christmas Support

Wood Family Christmas Donation Support.

This Fund is being continued for support for the Wood Family for the Christmas season. As many of you are aware Jessica Wood was in a very bad car accident in late summer and just recently went back home from the hospital. They have many medical expenses and any support will be greatly appreciated. I want to first of all thank every single person who has helped the Wood family with thoughts, prayers, donations during this difficult time. The Go Fund Me was initially set up as an emergency fund to help with day to day expenses while Jessica was in the hospital and Travis was missing work. As you can imagine they still have a way to go until things will be back to normal and we would like to continue with support through the holiday season. The HVAC Pro Talk Community has been awesome in the continued support on a daily basis through Facebook posts thoughts and prayers. All donations are directly managed by Travis and Jessica Wood. Go Fund Me takes 4% fee. We still figured this was the best way to help support the Wood family through the holiday.

Thank You,
Brian Robinson

Below is the original Go Fund Me Campaign story for those who may not be aware.

This Go Fund Me is an emergency fund for the Wood family. Travis Wood’s wife Jessica was in a very bad vehicle accident this week and in in the hospital and the family has a long road ahead of them. This fund is set up just as an emergency funding to help the Wood family with transportation and time missed from work in the coming weeks. All the money raised goes direct to the Wood family.

Here’s Travis’s story.

For everybody that does not know what happening my wife had a blood clot in her left arm over two weeks ago. Took her to the emergency room in my town just to have them transfer her to cape fear valley in fayettville nc. She was in danger of it killing her by getting to her heart but thankfully it stopped i, her left arm. They did a procedure ,dont know what its called but they ran a wire and baloon in her arteries from her groin on the right side all the way around into her left arm to try and clear the clots. They saved her arm and hand but couldnt do much with her fingers. They finally released her and put her on plavix, blood thinner and told us we would see how much of her fingers died and what needed to be amputated. This past weekend she was home and decided to go see her mom but never made there. Im cutting grass when my phone goes to vibrating and when i answer it its ems telling me jessica has been in a bad car wreck and i needed to head to wake med. I could hear her crying and screaming in the back ground. They had just cut the top off the jeep to get her out. I get to the hospital a couple hours later after dropping the baby girl off with my dad this is an hour drive away and when i get to the emergency room she is contious but in a lot of pain. Bad headache but no head trauma . Two broken ribs and her left leg is broken. They tell me she has blood on her brain by the exrays which didnt make any since at the time but was told she was stable. I stayed until she was sedated and went back home to get some other things i needed to to care of. By the time i got home the hospital calls and tells me she went critical and they nedded to crack hee skull open to release the blood due to the plavix has made her blood so thin . They needed permission to do what they had to do to save her life. So she is on life support with part of her skull removed with a tube draining the blood from her head. Her leg is still broken in a splint because nerosergion says she cant handle the other surgery to put pins in it yet. Also the fingers without the plavix now will have to be amputated. I know at least has died and turned black but they are having the hand specialist in now. Was told a minimum of a month in the hospital. Maybe longer. Could be brain damage also. Only time will tell. Al this seems like a never ending battle any donations we get is greatly appreciated. Love you all.
