Nishith Mishra's eSight Miracle

This campaign is created for Nishith Mishra who after being born legally blind now has the miraculous opportunity to see clearly with the help of a device called “eSight”. Nishith was born with one underdeveloped eye and the other with very limited vision, with this visual acuity at about 20/400. These glasses now allow him to see 20/20 at distance and near, an opportunity he never fathomed would be possible. As a close family friend and neighbor to Nishith during my time in India, I’ve sponsored his visa and his time here. He is living in our home in Jacksonville, FL and plans to stay for 6 months.
He took the bold chance to come all the way here without even knowing if eSight would work for him. During his trial demonstration, he slipped the glasses on and he was able to see the details in someone’s facial expressions, read, and truly witness his surroundings. Nishith immediately became overcome with emotions. I can’t wait for him to see his home and family members back home in India. He now has the chance to live a full and independent life.
Nishith is a man with a tremendous heart and has an admirable view on life. The total cost for this life-changing technology is $12,000. He himself cannot afford it but I’m certain with the help of my friends and family we can change the life of this man who has a world to discover.
