I have been selected to represent TEAM USA for the AIST Lacrosse Amsterdam Lowlands Tournamnet for this summer 2014. This honor has shown how much hard work and dedication pays off for playing the sport you love. I have been chosen amongst a select group of players acrosse the nation to represent USA in an international competition. National teams from Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, England, and other countries have participated in the Lowlands Lacrosse Tournament. As a selected athlete, it is a privilege to travel and train with the greatest athletic country in the world for this tournament.

As the only goalie on the TEAM USA roster, I will be competing against some of the best playing from their country. Some of these players are from National teams who represent their country in all major international competition. I will not only be competing with great athletes from acrosse the globe, but I will also be playing with some of the best players from around USA.

It is exciting to hear that TEAM AIST players have received professional contracts to play abroad after traveling with TEAM AIST. Being selected among an elite group of players is an amazing opportunity, especially knowing that AIST sends out a very limited amount of invitations per year to put together the best teams possible to represent USA.

As much of an amazing opportunity as this is, travel does not come cheap. I am half way to completing my fundrasing goal: Goal is $4,000. As a Senior collegiate lacrosse player at Marymount University, I have put all of my free time (including Friday- Sunday) of coaching and babysitting to raise the funds for this trip.
