Jonathon Villapania was selected to attend the National High School Wrestling Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia on March 28-30th. He would not only be representing his home town of Gridley, but California, as well. I know that everyone is aware of just how proud I am of him and his accomplishments, and this by far is his biggest opportunity. The NHSCA is not only a chance for Jonathon to wrestle the BEST, but a chance to show just who he is. The top 8 place winners are officially declared All-Americans. More than 200 college coaches will attend this event.
Jonathon is currently a Junior at Gridley High School where he recently won first in league and the sub section title in the 145 pound weight class. Jonathon is currently ranked number 14 in California and number one in our Section.
This page has been set up to help off-set some of the costs (airfare, hotel and registration), to the tournament. I know he has a huge group of supporters and I truly believe that this trip could help secure his college future.... Your support would mean the WORLD to my boy!
