Fire Disaster-Help!

Donation protected
On Sunday, February 23, 2014 my apartment complex, Sherwood Station, had a fire and my apartment was completely destroyed. All of my personal and other belongings were destroyed, very little was salvageable. I came out of the apartment with just the clothes on my back. It has been one of the most devastating events in my life.

Many people are asked at one time or another in their life, what would be the one thing you would grab if you had to decide during a fire, but you never really think this is going to actually happen. I faced this decision, grabbed my computer and a photo album. It feels surreal, every little while I will think of another item that was there and I no longer have. It is not the material items such as the bedroom furniture, but things like my childhood journals, my yearbooks, the unreplaceable items that cause the hurt.

My parents live near and I am fortunate to be able to stay with them but there is a lot to replace when you come out with only sandals on your feet. Even my makeup, hair dryer, and brush have to be replaced. At some point I will want to re-establish my own home, but now I must start from scratch.

Any help that you can provide will be much appreciated and a blessing to me. Many thanks to you!
