Sheridan Hemingers Journey

Sheridan Heminger has a rare interstitial lung disease (chILD). Her disease is categorized by having distinct problems in the lining of the lungs that, among other things, make it difficult for her body to transfer oxygen from the lungs into the blood, thus making it harder for her to breath. There is NO CURE for her disease and the only treatment for her at this time is full time oxygen. Sheridan has struggled with some of the most basic life-sustaining functions. In isolation, some of her complications have an answer and some answers we are still waiting to find out. Sheridan is treated by doctors from nine different specialties. This little girl continues to amaze us on a daily basis. She does not let the obstacles she has been dealt with stand in her way. Many people have asked how they can help.
