****UPDATE***** Vernon and the 2 boys have found a 2 bedroom apartment in the Amherst area for the time being. While that may not be ideal, its a place to call home thanks to your donations. We appreciate you all so very much. At the present time, the focus is on furnishing their apartment. I will update with a list of what is needed specifically as we go. They have received enough clothing but haven't any chests of drawers or shelving units. Small appliances for cooking (ie microwave and such) would be appreciated. They have beds available but no way to transport them from Tatamagouche to Amherst. If you can help with any of these things, or know someone who can, please contact us through the message link and we will respond promptly. I am asking for help for a father and 2 sons who lost their home in an accidental fire last night. Everyone made it out safely, but unfortunately they were not able to save any belongings. Unfortunately, they did not have insurance.They not only need all clothing and personal care items, they also are in desperate need of a new place to call home. I realize there is a housing crisis, but if anyone has any leads on affordable housing for rent for 3 people in the Tatamagouche area , it would be greatly appreciated if you could contact me with details. Any donations will help as they need to pay for accommodations and personal care items while they are displaced, as well as funds to rent and furnish a new place to call home.
