Saturday, February 22, Raymond and Short Seider's house caught fire and burned to the ground. Short was able to drag Raymond from the house just in time so that he suffered only minor burns, but he does have moderate damage to his lungs from the smoke inhalation and is recovering in the hospital. Although they both got out safely, their beloved home of almost half a century was a total loss, as well as all of their belongings. They did not have insurance on their house; their 2 vehicles burned in the fire as well and they only carried liability insurance for them.
Their children are planning to build a new metal house for Raymond and Short as soon as possible.
