AUSTIN -- Family and friends gathered over the weekend to say goodbye to a homicide victim.

Xiaojia "Grace" Chen, 47, was found dead at the Galleria Oaks shopping center on North U.S. Highway 183 near Anderson Mill in Northwest Austin last week. Police have ruled her death a homicide.

Austin's Chinese community held a candlelight vigil Sunday at the Galleria Oaks shopping center. A friend says Grace was a mother to a college student. Friends are collecting donations to help the family.

Police have learned that Chen and her husband owned the Grace Language and Cultural Institute in the shopping center.
