Hello Friends of SEYA,
Over the last 20 years CAAS Camps, now SEYA Camps, have impacted the lives of many young persons each summer. SEYA Camps were and still are the place where many youngsters came to know JESUS CHRIST as Saviour. Many persons have strengthened their walk with Christ at camps, and many lifelong friendships and marriages were born out of interactions at camps.
We NEED your HELP! In recent times it has proven quite challenging to finance the SEYA Camp Ministry due to rising costs as a result of inflation. The true cost of camp is in excess of J$15,000.00 or US$117 per camper. We find it difficult to pass these costs directly on to the campers as many of them simply would not be able to afford to come to camp. In recent years we have tried through various fundraising efforts to subsidize the cost to make the camp fees more affordable; however we have not been able to consistently meet our target.
The SEYA Camp Ministry also aims to impart life changing values such as integrity, civic responsibility and social awareness through creative and dynamic workshops, presentations and other youth oriented activities. Over the years, many of our campers have gone on to play their part in passing on these critical lessons as they take their place in society. SEYA Camps have positively impacted the lives of so many young people. This summer we want to ensure that as many of our kids get the opportunity to have this life changing experience.
