I have never met someone like me!!

I am MaKenna Beckwith, I am almost 16 years old and I am trying to raise money for my whole family to go to Orlando Florida for the Galactosemia Convention. I have a genetic disorder called Galactosemia which means that I can not eat or drink milk. I am allergic to milk, Whey, Dairy and many other things. I am jealous of milk things because some people say that it tastes good but, I am chill with it. This disorder ruins my social life. Well, not all of it. I can make friends but, it is hard for me to make friends.

Galactosemia also causes some learning disabilities but the hardest part for me is being social since no one else is like me.

The reason why I am raising money is that in Florida there is a convention for people who has Galactosemia. So I can meet other people who have my disorder, I have never met or spoken to another person with Galactosemia because it is so rare. If I can make some freinds there we can email or skype to stay in touch. School is hard for me and I think people do not get me. I talk to myself and I think that is fun but, when I am at school it is not fun. Some people do not understand me and if me and my family can go this convention I can tell people about my life. I want peace and relaxation in my life. I think if I get the chance to meet other kids with Galactosemia I won't feel so different from everyone. I know it would help my family understand me better and they would meet other parents that face the same situation. My family supports me, but I don't think that they really understand me. The reason I am asking for so much $ is becuase I have a large family and would love to have as many sisters, brothers, parents, grandparents there with me as possible.
