Carter was diagnosed with partial ring trisomy 13 at birth. This chromosome disorder was so rare, he was the only child diagnosed with this here in Hawaii. He outlived his life expectancy (of just one year) which made Carter a medical miracle. He was blessed with nine beautiful years here on earth with us. He was a fighter through all of his medical obstacles - hard of hearing, polydactyly, celiac disease, not having the ability to speak, low muscle tone, and much more. Carter was so strong inside and out. He truly was the happiest kid with the purest heart. His life and bright energy directly and indirectly touched thousands of people. We believe that Carter was sent to us as a message. His message was love. Unconditional love.
Carter passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, 12/18/17, at 5AM.
Carter's family would humbly like to ask for your financial support in order to not only cover funeral costs, but also outstanding medical bills. Any and all gifts are greatly appreciated during this time. We also ask that you send sincere prayers of peace and comfort to Carter's family as they begin to heal from their loss.
