We're raising money for an entirely student-run production of the Timbers and Friedman musical BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON at Vassar College this April!
Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson is an edgy, hilarious and raucously entertaining show that draws historical parallels between modern events and politics and the early days of the United States. With its post-punk music and eccentric satirical aesthetic, this show demands your attention all the way through. It also demands a budget big enough to cover the cost of vats of dark eye make-up, a wild collection of stage weapons, fantastical and historical costumes (the tightest jeans available) and rock-show lighting, among other things. With the support of Vassar's premiere student musical theatre organization, the Future Waitstaff of America, which has already approved this production for this semester, many aspects of production which might otherwise present serious risks and challenges are already taken care of. For instance, thanks to Vassar's wonderful student activities infrastructure, a performance space will be provided, as will other integral amenities such as the basics of lighting and sound. We will however have to fundraise from there and that's why we're asking for your generous donations! Together, we represent an experienced production team, eager to throw ourselves into this creative process. We love theatre and we love this show - help us share that enthusiasm with you by helping fund our project!
