Yusra Community Center

Yusra Community Center is run by a group of independent volunteers in Istanbul, Turkey. Our main goal is to support the refugee community in Istanbul. All funds raised will go toward education initiatives, daily activities, special programs (art/dance/music therapy, field trips, holiday celebrations), food, and supplies for the 15-20 children who come to the center every day.

In the past 2 years, the Center has assisted with:

-Enrolling approximately 70 children in local schools
-Providing psycho-social support programs for families
-Health and nutrition workshops
-School readiness programs for children
-Livelihood support programs for mothers
-Language focused activities for women and children
-Community inclusion and integration through partner organizations and community events
-Field trips

This is an ongoing fundraiser, as we have been operating for over 2 years solely on donations from our various networks. We are grateful for the support we have received so far and we hope to continue our programs.
