Help Belle Walk Again!

Have you ever had a moment in your life where your heart just utterly shatters? Where something completely out of your control blindsides you, and you have figure out a way to put all the pieces back together? My best friend Belle had her life completely change this past Friday night, after being completely T-BONED BY A DRUNK DRIVER while riding passenger, on a motorcycle. Her and the rider took the impact directly to their right side and were ejected from the bike, onto the the asphalt, more than 30 feet away from the impact zone. With her bones jaggedly, ripping through her flesh, she recounts waking up and trying lift herself up, while her exposed bones dragged across the cold street. The fire department that initially arrived realized there was no time to waste and transported her to the hospital before the ambulances were even able to arrive. By the grace of god, she is still alive today but, fighting hard to recover in ICU. She went straight into emergency surgery when she arrived at Scripps La Jolla but, has lost a lot of blood in the process. Right now, they’re trying to get her well enough to endure another surgery on her leg but, only time will tell how long this hospital stay will be. She has multiple injuries that insure she will never walk the same again. All we can do now is try to alleviate the financial burden of this horrific accident and make sure she focuses her thoughts on her recovery, her mental health, and feeling the love and support of our great community.
