Helping Sara and James Get Back On Their Feet

Sara and James have been friends of mine since high school. They lost their home in an electrical fire yesterday. It started in the room right next to their bedroom. They are so grateful to have gotten out and to have saved their animals. But they lost everything. This house has been Sara’s home for decades. I have many memories in this house. But nothing compares to the memories Sara had. This house was duplex she shared with her mom until recently. This fire is salt in the devastating wound of losing her mother just months ago. Every physical memory of her mom, all of her mother’s belongings, photos, and heirlooms, gone. While Sara and James are currently staying with family, they hope to be able to get back into a home of their own and start piecing back together their life. While insurance will help them make this possible, I’m hoping to raise money for them in the meanwhile. To be able to eat, buy clothes to go to work, feed their pets and replace toiletries and everyday essentials until life makes more sense again. If you can help, please do.
