Replace Paul Chappel's car

Hi there,

I'll make this short and sweet as I'm at a loss as to any other way to present this.

As many of you know, Paul's car is...shall we say...well travelled.  I've noticed Paul comment several times over the last months that he has no heat in his car, and in order to use it in the winter, he has to drive with the windows down to prevent the windows from fogging.  Paul mentioned to me that he's had this repaired once already, but the heater is broken once again.  Other repairs have cropped up recently, and Paul has suggested that the end might be near for the car. 

I know Paul from school days back in Dundas, and it wasn't that long ago that we reconnected via Facebook.  From what I've seen, Paul is very much the person who gives far more than he receives.  I know he struggles with his disability, and a reliable car is an absolute necessity for him to do the work that he does.  I can't add much more than that - many of you know him far better than I, and would be better spokespeople on behalf of Paul than I can.  I just know that it pains me to see Paul have to rely on a car that doesn't measure up to what he needs from it.

Which brings me to this appeal.  I'd like to see enough money raised to, at the very least, enable Paul to carry out some major repairs to get his car back into a reasonable state of reliability.  It would also be wonderful if we could get Paul on his way to perhaps purchasing a new-to-him car so that his current one can be retired.

I know Paul has a lot of friends, and a little bit from everyone would go a long way.  

All of the funds raised from this (less the admin fees from GoFundMe and PayPal) will go to Paul for him to do with as he chooses.

***Late breaking info 23/02/13 - Paul's current car has been confirmed beyond economical repair, and there's no point in putting money into it.  I've changed the subject of the Fund page to more accurately describe the purpose, which is now to get Paul an affordable replacement vehicle.
