Jerry needs your help!

Almost two weeks ago Jerry was hit by a car (hit and run driver) and the neighbors callled animal control services to help him.  We tried to take him then, but the officer wouldn't let me.  He was taken to the Martinez shelter and we followed his status.  As we thought, he was put on the list to euthenize within ten days! Warren, with the help of Rescue Refugee shelter in San Pablo, rescued him in the knick of time!  Unfortunately, the Martinez shelter did not take care of his leg very well (as the officer said they would) and Jerry needed surgery. We took him to Animal Care Clinic in El Sobrante (they are awesome by the way!) and got him fixed up yesterday (and fixed too!).  They gave us a great discount, but with all his care we are anticipating about $5000 in costs. We already had to cover part of the $3600 bill today!  Any extra money we raise will go to our wonderful local no kill shelter that will help her dogs and cats!
Jerry is resting comfortably with us tonight. He has been great with our dogs and just fine with our cat Squeak too!  We really need money to help pay his bills, but also need to find a permanent home (or even a foster home until we find that home) for him!  He is so sweet and will give you lots of kisses if you come and visit him!  We appreciate any help you can give Jerry and us and please pass this on to your friends!
