Keratoconus- Help me see again!

Hi everyone. My name is Hillary. I am 27, I have been diagnosed with a disease that's called Keratoconus. This causes the corena in your eye to be incredibly misshapened, which it turn makes it incedibly hard to see with normal contacts or glasses. I have been wearing hard contacts for about 5 years now and it has become exhausting. They are entirely too uncomfortable and cause me to get eye infections on a semi regular basis. Once this happens, I cannot function for the rest of the day. And without my contacts, I cannot see anything, nor wear glasses that will correct any of my vision. I am very close to being legally blind in my right eye and my left eye is following in its footsteps unfortunately. I have a great eye doctor however, if this procedes any further, I will have to have a cornea transplant which is incredibly invasive and utterly frightening. I found a different proceedure that has been very effective in many patients that is not as invasive as the transplant by finding a doctor in California. Dr Brian Boxer Wachler. I looked into his procedures and became amazed. However the price is too steep to even imagine I could afford it. I am working full time and an extra job on the side while my husband is finishing getting his degree. I'm not one to ask for help, but I'm desperate to be able to see like I did 10 years ago.
