Here to provide financial help to those families who have lost a loved one to suicide
My name is Nicholas Ciccone I am a twenty year old with a vision of creating an organization to help thousands of families. Each year over 30,000 people die from suicide in America alone and is now the 11th leading cause of death. It is nearly doubled the number of homicides each year. Among those 30,000 deaths, the 15-24 year old population has the highest attempt and completion rate than any other age group, making it the 3rd leading cause of death for that age group. Statistics show that every 17 seconds in America a person dies from suicide which means every 18 seconds someone is left asking why, what do I do? Inevitably the questions become how will I pay for this?
"In This Moment," specializes in helping those families who are faced with the questions of" how am I going to pay for services." Services that bring peace, healing, and dignity to their loved one. For "In This Moment," someone is faced with a sudden unexplainable death, "In This moment," they need help, "In This Moment," they need guidance, and "In This Moment," they need a compassionate, honest, team of support. "In This Moment," financial questions are raised, burial arrangements need to be taken care of, and knowing which way to turn is not easy. Deaths are always stressful, regardless of its circumstances, but it becomes amplified when you are now faced with the heart ache of suicide. Insurance companies (private, government, or standard) do not cover suicide burial expenses. The Families are responsible for 100% of the costs just to provide a proper ending. "In This Moment," was designed to help those families pay for arrangements. "In This Moment," brings trusted help and direction which everyone needs at that moment. There is not one specific demographic that benefits from this more then another. Suicide rates have risen in Veterans, adolescents, elderly, and children as young as ten years old. Everyone could use the help.
My ultimate goal is to be that shimmer of hope for a family, a voice that reassures them that help is here, and they are not alone. Being able to provide the opportunity for a proper burial service, according to the beliefs of the family, will be a starting point for healing to begin, "In This Moment."
