Two years ago I shared with you what was on my bucket list; running my first Half-Marathon. Well I DID IT! With your encouragement and financial support I made my run significant by fund-raising for worthy causes dear to my heart. I'm running my second half marathon, this time in Kansas City. My hope is that my friends and family will support me in this effort on behalf of 2 charities that are dear to me:
Positive Women's Network "“USA (PWN-USA) the national network for women living with HIV in the U.S. and;
GRACE of Greater Kansas City, a non-profit local women's support group, where HIV positive women are empowered, mentored and receive support to lead healthy lives with an HIV+ diagnosis.
These organizations inspire, inform, support and build leadership among people living with HIV and work to eliminate stigma and discrimination.
I would love to have your support in completing my goal by giving an online donation. I have registered for the Kansas City Marathon scheduled October 14, 2016, in Kansas City, Missouri.
My goal is $1,000.00. I've already collected over $700.00. I am so close to my goal, I can taste it. Please consider giving what you can to support these two organizations that mean the world to me. You might sponsor me for a dollar per mile for the half-marathon distance-13 miles ($13.00) "“ or perhaps 20 people can sponsor me at $15 each and get me over the hump. or you can just donate a flat amount ($20, $50, $100 :). Of course, I have a few health issues but I'm not letting physical limitations deter me from reaching my goal. I am currently training hard in the gym and feel that I am
ready to take on the challenge.
