New Ross Volunteer Missions

Dear family and friends,
As some of you may know, I was able to participate in a missions trip to the town of New Ross, Ireland last July. I am pleased to announce that this summer, I have the opportunity to return to the small town once again.
Irish culture has a great influence on the youth and this combined with the small town and lack of activities leads to the prominant activities being drinking, smoking, and sex. The goal of this team is to establish a drop-in center to get the kids out of the pubs and into a safe, Christian environment.
This will be the fifth year that this summer drop-in will be opened and it has made great steps in bringing these kids to the Lord. However, there is still alot of work to be done. The biggest obsitcle we face is the extreme mistrust these youth have in the church. Many believe that the church doesn't care about them and that we short term missionaries don't care about them as well because too often they see mission group after mission group come to profess their love to the kids only to leave quickly and never return.
The best way to establish trust with these kids and to help the Lord work through us is to return to them again and for that, I despirately need your help. Any donation is an absolute blessing and brings me that much closer to helping these kids reach salvation. If you do not have the means to contribute financially, I ask that you contribute to my cause in prayer for me to visit and encourage these kids in the gospel and that God would work through me in his wonderous and mysterious ways.
I am very excited about how God will use me and what He will teach me through this trip! I pray that I will not only be a blessing to those I serve but to you as well. My desire is to go as your ambassador of Jesus Christ, and I hope you will prayerfully be a part of this ministry!
