Shawna's fight against Colon Cancer

This is my mother Shawna Thomas, a wondeful single mother of 3 boys. On January 28th, 2014 she was diagonsed with stage 4 colon cancer that had spread to her liver and lungs. She's been out of work since the diagnosis and with the medical bills piling up, and the cost of living money wearing thin, the struggle on our family is starting to grow. In order to help out, our wonderful grandparents have recently moved in with us They  have been helping us out mentally as well as and financially as much as they can. I have two other brothers and they both live at home. That's six people in a two bedroom house! It's a little crammed.
She also cannot start chemotherapy until her infection is gone, which is taking a long time to get rid of. She had a surgery and they removed 18 inches on her intestine and gave her a colostomy bag. The outpouring of support and prayers from the community and past friends have been humbling and we thank every single person who would be kind enough to help us reach our goal. We understand times are tough, but anything that you would be willing to give is deeply appreciated. God bless.
