£7000 needed for urgent breast cancer surgery

Sarah has grade 2 breast cancer. The NHS have just cancelled Sarah's life saving left breast mastectomy operation and have not given us a new date. The stress she is experiencing is unbelievable right now.

Sarah has 2 malignant tumors in her left breast close to her lymph nodes under her arm pit. The lumps are getting bigger and she requires an urgent operation to remove the whole breast.

To be blunt, the delay could kill Sarah if the cancer spreads to her lymph nodes or beyond as treatment then moves from being curative to palliative. We can not bare the thought of this.

Currently it has not spread but the last minute cancellation Friday for her operation today (Tuesday 28th Sept), after waiting since June's diagnosis for an operation, with no new date in place and NHS management delaying providing solutions forces us to have to look privately at treatment. We simply can not wait any longer.

Cardiff Nuffield can get Sarah in urgently so we are now looking to raise £7000 to cover the cost of at least a mastectomy and reconstruction so she can be treated there.

We never wanted to do this fund raiser, we feel embarrassed asking for help but under the circumstances caused by the NHS terrible decisions our hand is forced, so we ask if anyone can help my partner Sarah with any donations at all, it would massively help as we can not afford to wait for the NHS any longer.

To be clear, Sarah (as hard as this already is) wants a double mastectomy to remove the other breast asap too as that breast tissue is at high risk too. The NHS refuses to remove this currently healthy tissue (we understand why) despite explaining to us about the risks it could develop there as she has the higher risk oestrogen fed cancer so the money will go towards all the treatment she needs to protect her life, long term.
