Jimmy "Drapes" Kavanagh Memorial Fund

As many are aware "Our beautiful Jimmy Drapes Kavanagh, a wonderful craftsman with a kind & generous soul”  recently left us. 

Throughout his career Jimmy touched so many people and his passing has been felt enormously. We would love to erect a plaque and bench in memory of "A man with a beautiful voice & old fashioned kindness”  at his second home Ardmore Studios.

Ardmore Studios have kindly given us permission to erect a plaque. They are not presently in a position to confirm the bench until all building works are completed.

We would love to start fundraising for both plaque and bench with a view to having the bench ready for install on completion of building works.(At the discretion of Ardmore Studios) 

Should a position not be confirmed at Ardmore Studios then the bench will be instead donated to the family as a gesture of thanks from the film community. Should we raise excess funds, these shall be donated to a charity of the family's choice.

The bench will be decorated with a bronze tassel in memory of the massive contribution Jimmy made to the Irish Film Industry throughout his long & illustrious career.
