Help The Marquardt's Raise Their Roof!

Donation protected
My parents, John and Lori Marquardt, are the hardest working and most kind hearted people I have ever known.  They have never asked for anything no matter what hardship they are going through. That is why I have set up this fund, because this time they really need some extra help that they would never ask for.

On February 14th 2014 (Valentines Day) John and Lori lost the majority of their second floor to an electrical fire that started in the attic.  At the time John and Lori were running some errands and my little sister (Katie) was at work. Our widdowed grandmother that my parents were graciously letting live with them was the only person home at the time.  Fortunately, because my grandmother was home, the fire department made it to the house before the entire house was lost. However, what the fire itself did not touch, the smoke and water ruined. Very little was left completely unscathed.

Due to all the smoke and water damage the better half of the house will need to be gutted and redone. The house is also going to need a new roof among many other smaller construction projects.  As of right now the restoration company estimates that the house may not be in a liveable condition for close to 5 months.  John and Lori as well as my little sister are currently living with my grandmother but want to find a place to rent as soon as possible.  John (a vietnam vetran) is currently retired, and Lori and Katie need to continue working.  Unfortunately the commute from my grandmother's home to their work is far longer than they would like, especially during one of the worst Wisconsin winters in years and space is limited in her house as well.  The beds that are there are from my mother's childhood still so John and Lori are not even able to sleep in the same bed as each other at this time.

John and Lori intend to rent somewhere closer until the house restoration is completed; however, renting is going to be double the expense of what their mortgage payment is. So I am trying to raise $5,000 dollars to help them afford a place to live while their home undergoes it's restoration process.  This money would help them pay for rent and utilities for at least 5 months and hopefully be able to replace a lost mattress or two.

Thank you for taking the time to read this if you've gotten this far and anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated and would help more than you may know.
