Help Susan rebuild her home
Late last night (9/1/2021) our mother's home at 62 Mercer Street, Somerville, NJ was destroyed by a devastating explosion leaving nothing but the chimney standing. While my mom (Susan Smock) and her Boxer (Molly) evacuated safely, all of their belongings and personal possessions were destroyed. She left the house with only the clothes she was wearing.
We are raising funds on her behalf, to help fund the purchase of clothing, shoes, furniture, bedding, linens, kitchen ware, etc for her and her dog as well as temporary housing.
As most of you know, she lost her husband (Shaun McFarland) a little less than a year ago. Victims of tragedies face tremendous emotional stress and financial costs, and we hope this fund will help alleviate some of the challenges that she is facing as she tries to move on, and rebuild her life.
In this uncertain time, we know many people are facing hardships and we are extremely grateful for any donation. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated. Thank you to all that have helped or will.
