Asking for help with funeral costs

Hello. my name is Renne Wendt. I am reaching out to try to cover the costs for a very unexpected funeral for my son in law Shay Majors. Shay came into my life 17 years ago when he and my daughter Valerie met at Bradford high school. Shay quickly gained a spot in my hearts with his incredible smile and charm. Shay and Valerie built a relationship over the last 17 years. Shay and Valerie got engaged 15 years ago and began there journey having a family. Through out the relationship Shay and Valerie gave birth to 3 beautiful children. Shayla Majors came to us 14 years ago. She is the oldest sibling to her younger sister Andie who is now 8, and a brother, shay jr. who is 3. Shay was a hardworking, intelligent man. His life’s work included things such as volunteering for the boys and girls club of Kenosha, and had helped with things such as removing graffiti and boarding up business last year with the destruction of downtown Kenosha. Shay always wanted to help but was the guy who if needed help would never ask for it. Shay thrived on problem solving and loved to get involved and was stratigraphic thinking. If he was asked he was going to figure it out, and did! Shay was of an old fashioned mentality that you didn’t have what you couldn’t afford and of a today’s mentality of savey ways to get ahead in life always striving to go farther and do bigger things. Shay was an over achiever who was starting to feel the consequences of the world we now live in. Unfortunate circumstances took him from us on January 27th 2022. I’ve never asked for a donation and Shay was a proud man who would hate that I’m doing this. Shay didn’t believe in debt and didn’t have it unless he could pay cash. I hate that I’m doing this but we are at a road block of funds. In honor of Shay majors and his family I am reaching out to try to cover a funeral and to find closer for his children and family. Any amount we can get will go directly to a funeral and determine the accommodations we can provide. I speak for all who knew him and loved him as I did, this is not something any of us thought we would have to do. Shay was responsible and had things in line to cover his family, but the unfortunate timing of his death, it has lead us to this measure. Please know we appreciate any amount we can raise.
