My Open Heart Valve Repair Surgery

I've been recently diagnosed with a heart murmur of my Mitral heart valve. I've been told by the Doctors this is life threatening. The murmur could lead to a stroke, heart attack or cause my lungs to fail. Strokes run in my family. This was discovered after I gone in for a transthoracic echocardiography nearly 3 months ago for my first tests to see what was wrong with my heart. After this I saw a surgeon to talk about the prospects of surgery. I had an angiogram about 2 weeks ago. This was the last step in the process of how to appraoch the open heart surgery to repair or replace my Mitral heart valve. An exact date hasn't been set yet by the surgeon but the surgery is to take place in early September.
I'm sure most of you know I am a free lance phototgrapher. I work very hard but from job to job. For the most part most of my healthcare is covered by insurance but I still have monthly expenses I have to take care of while I'm in recovery. I'm looking at 3 or so months I'll be in recovery without work. I was told I can't put anything around my neck for around 2 months or so. So that means no camera strap around my neck for that period of time. Because of this impending surgery and the fainancial strain I'm turning to you all for help to see me through this difficult time. I like to keep things positive and upbeat but this is far beyond my control and my ability to cope with under the current circumstances. I'm aware that you all have your own fianancial constraints and limitations but I'm hoping in one way or another you can give whatever you can to help me through this rough patch in my life. Any gift you give will help me during my recovery.
