In July 2001 our oldest daughter, Rebecca (left), was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma at the age of 14. Rebecca was eligible for a "dream" because she was a minor and her Dream became a reality in May 2002 when she met Pope John Paul II in Rome!
In March 2013 our youngest daughter, Rachel (right), was also diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Rachel was 22 at the time and a senior in college. Rachel has since graduated with her BA & underwent months of chemo and Bone Marrow transplant. She was declared to be in remission on May 17, 2014 and her August scans also came back clear! We are praising God!!!
At the time of Rachel's diagnosis we started looking for an organization that would offer her a "dream/wish" but organizations only give them to minors and our family is in a unique situation...one child being diagnosed as a minor and one being diagnosed as a Young Adult.
So, we are trying to give Rachel a "dream"! She wants to go to London! Rachel's nickname in our family is "Starlight" which is where the name "Starlight Dreams" comes from :)
