THANK YOU to all of you who donated! With this page, the online auction, our church and friends' donations, we were ablet to raise over $4,000!!! What a blessing you all have been to us and to these children! We so appreciate your giving spirits and friendship!
Update: We have changed our GOAL to $7,500!
We want to raise $1500 for a clothes dryer. It would help the nannies so much, kill bacteria and diseases, and free up the kids play area that is currently being used as a clothes drying area.
We want to purchase 25 cribs! That's a cost of $4,000! The beds are currently old and big and multiple children are sharing them. If kids are sharing beds, they're sharing germs, diseases, etc.
We also want to partner with the Kolfe Orphanage for Boys. These are older boys who are orphaned and live together. They spend a lot of time in the streets and we'd love to be able to provide them with televisions, maybe a pool table, etc. Something to keep them at the home, and not out in the town.
We've changed our goal to $7,500! This is CRAZY, we know! We just want to do everything we can do to help these kids. If you can donate, any amount would be great! If you can't, please pray that we would be able to raise the amount we need. And by all means, please share this so more people see it.

Many of you have asked us how you can help with our upcoming adoption. God has been so gracious to provide the funds we need. However, we know that many of you want to be involved in helping the children in the Care Center. Our kids decided that they wanted to save their money to buy Bibles and small toys for the children. We decided to open it up to all of you in case you wanted to help,too.
I honestly don't know a thing about fundraising online, but it seemed to me that this would be the best way to do it. Having people from out of town mail you checks is not the easiest way to do things anymore so we thought this might be easier.
We are collecting money for the following items: Bibles in Amharic, diapers, wipes, formula, diaper rash cream, Vitamins, and the Care Center is in desperate need of new cribs for the many babies living there. We'd love to be able to help provide these basic needs for these children. Don't we take so many things for granted in America?
We are also taking toys and clothes with us. If you want more information on donating those items to us, please contact me.
