Rally for Andy

Andy needs our help!!! For those of you who know Andy, she needs no introduction. For those of you who don’t, let me tell you about my best friend. She is an amazing mom to two little dudes- Declyn, age 6 and Ryder, age 10. She is a super mom! She does everything for these boys by herself, she even coaches Ryder’s football team! As strong as she is, she needs our help right now. Andy has been pretty sick for a few months since she was diagnosed with the flu. On Saturday , Feb 16, she had so much chest pain that she went to the ER. They told her she had the flu and sent her home. She called me Monday and told me all of her symptoms since I’m an RN and I told her to get herself back to the ER immediately!!! And sure enough, the ER misdiagnosed her on Saturday. She ended up being admitted to the ICU for Septic Shock and pneumonia. They put a picc line in her and had to administer emergency medications to bring her blood pressure up. Her pressure was so low her kidneys were starting to fail. Because she is a single mom, the time off of work is going to be devastating to her. The doctors aren’t sure how long she will have to be in the hospital, especially now that they’ve discovered that her right lung has been overtaken by fungus. She is fighting with all she has to get better, but she is still very sick since she already has chronic asthma making the healing process hard. Let’s help raise some funds for Andy so she can focus on getting healthy and getting back to being super mom!!
