Help with Subway's recovery

Subway has been my partner for many years, he is such an incredible horse and has really made a name for himself. I purchased him as my Pony Club horse and he took me to the 4* level. This horse is truely a once in a lifetime horse and he's been through everything with me. 

"Subs" as he is called in the barn coliced late on Saturday the 15th of February, knowing how stoic he always is I immediately took him to the hosipital when he began to show the signs of discomfort. 

Subs ended up needed surgery, they were not sure what they would find but quickly took action. He had a grueling 5 hour surgery, they performed a resection taking out 8 feet of small intestine. 

I've been told he has a 50/50 chance at this point, but this horse is the toughest horse I've ever met. I'd give anything for him and he is going to get every chance to prove his strength. 

My major medical and surgical coverage ran out after 8K, because limited coverage is available for a horse his age. 2 days after his surgery my bill already exceeds that amount. This won't stop me from taking all necessary steps to get him healthy again.
