Study Abroad - Italy Summer 2014!!!

My name is Jessica Oliver and I am a senior at the University of Central Florida. I have been accepted to participate in a study abroad program for students studying Early Childhood Education. I am near the end of my bachelor's degree and plan to teach elementary school as early as January 2015.
     This study abroad trip is a once in a lifetime opportunity to live an study for a short time in Regio Emilia, Italy. This is where the Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Childhood Education was founded. This is significant for me as m teaching style is centered around this approach. This is a child centered approach that helps  children learn to thiknk critically and construct their own knowledge through exploration. The role of the teacher is to facilitate and nurture students. This way of teaching will certainly build a generation of leaders with minds built to problem solve and change the world for the better. 
      The program cost is $3490. This cost does not include university tuition which is $210.57 or airfare which is estimated at $1600.00. Airfare is an approximate cost until booked.
