Miss Peggy Somsel's Expenses

Hello, my name is Emma Moody, on November 28th, my mother Peggy Somsel was hit by a car, breaking her pelvis in 5 places, fracturing many ribs, breaking her left arm, collapsing a lung, and leaving a hole in her bladder. Several days after the accident, she was stable enough to undergo the necessary five hour surgery to place metal plates and screws where her bones had been broken. Following the surgery she stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks and was then moved to a short term rehabilitation center for 17 days. After this, she was placed in home health care, and wheels her way through physical and occupational therapy. Due to her injuries, she is unable to return full time to the loving students in her classroom. She has taught 3 to 6 year olds for the past 28 years. Her doctor's have determined that by March she will be well enough to return to work as a part time employee as she learns to walk again. As a result of this, she is going to be paid on an hourly wage for part-time employment. Peggy does not have any additional income and help is greatly needed. She is a woman that has always done everything for everyone else, placed other's needs above her own and is an active community member. Let's give back to Peggy!
