Buddy was rescued as part of a community sweep. Counting puppies born to date Pet Save has recovered 80 dogs from this community over the course of about 3 weeks.
Our vet, Dr. P.J. Rocheleau likens this mission to a mass casualty disaster in slow motion. It's like dealing with a traumatic disaster in the OR of a hospital for multiple victims but over a period of time rather than coming in all at once by ambulance.
Buddy has a broken femur, both cruciates blown out, a pellet in one leg, needs to be neutered and requires dental extractions to alleviate some problems with his teeth. Buddy has some pretty severe bar marks and significant wear and damage to his teeth from having been caged at some point for extensive periods of time and having to chew on the bars to try to escape. He is a very docile, well mannered and loving dog. Donations will help us get him on the mend and give him the life any dog truly deserves, safe, happy & loved. His first surgery was February 18th. His 1st of two cruciate surgeries will be March 25th.
Pet Save relies solely on fundraising and donations to keep our doors open and to help animals like Buddy, Junior, Hannah & Lewis that are in need until they find loving, forever homes. Please share this post with your friends, family & colleagues and encourage anyone you can for donations and corporate sponsorships to help with the costs of this endeavour. Charitable tax receipts will be issued.
