Hi everybody I don’t think many of you know about the accident that my brother Martin had back in March. We haven’t put anything on social media but he had an accident while racing his car. He crashed on the track after having a cardiac arrest. He had several life-threatening injuries and we are so lucky that he’s still here. They didn’t expect him to survive the first night but here we are nearly 10 weeks later with the help of some fantastic staff and hospitals starting off with the ambulance and marshals at the track to the air ambulance then on to Southampton And now back in Cornwall where he lives. They are having a fete to raise funds for the special critical care sensory garden that Martin has been using. I can’t tell you how much it has meant to Martin to be able to get out in the fresh air and in his words to see the sky and not ceiling tiles ! I think the garden has kept him sane. I would love to raise some funds to help the fete in Martin’s name. I don’t think any of us appreciate just how much being able to go into a garden or open space Means until you can’t do it yourself. Martin is making a very good recovery thank God we are all amazed by him every day he’s making such good progress against all the odds that he faced, so please if you can spare anything that could go towards keeping the sensory garden going for martin and other critical care patients The whole family would appreciate it immensely as we have been able to spend some lovely quality time with martin there, thank you so much.
